DIESEL FUEL ALERT- IT'S ALL ABOUT LOW SULPHUR FUEL
EDT: "Enviro Diesel Treatment." THIS IS THE ANSWER.
Open letter to: All Diesel Owners, regarding the Enviro Diesel Legislation and how this legislation has effected your engine operation, by the reduction of the Sulphur Content in all Diesel Fuels, which was the lubricant.
Most Farmers and Professional Fishermen. Contractors & Diesel Owner Operators I speak to. Have no knowledge of the Enviro Diesel Legislation. Introduced by Government some years ago for a Clean Green Enviroment.
This Legislation effected the Removal of Sulphur in all Diesel Fuels. This finalised in January 2006. It is now urgent for all Pre 1995 Engines to avoid unnecessary repairs, as Sulphur is, or was the lubricant in our Diesel Fuels. The O rings and Seals degrade in the pre 1995 engines. Results in Pump Rebuilds, which is avoidable.
Without sulphur as the lubricant and with no other lubricant replacement. Owners can and will have increased wear. The seals and O rings in the pumps of the pre, 1995 Engines will degrade & show signs of breakdown, firstly by the weeping around the pump seal. This is preventable with early intervention of EDT.
Economy: A fleet of 22 cement trucks with cummins engines were monitored for one year. Engines treated with EDT were 44% cleaner and had 6.8% better fuel economy. A fleet of 59 haulage trucks were monitored for 18 months. Over this period. Injectors were found to be cleaner in the test engines and economy was 4.6% improved. The larger engines can save more. Diesel @ $1.40 ltr. 4.6% save = 6.44cents. 6.8% save = 9.52cents. Worth looking at...YES.
Add to this with normal service. Engine Flush & Friction Proofing. Again. More Fuel Savings and Servicing. Again. Higher Cost Reduction.
Friction or wear, is the same for all diesel motors regardless of age. The benefits of EDT are primarily as a lubricant replacement for the low sulphur. But,
EDT still has, as it always did have the benifits of. Facilitating Minimal Wear with low operating temperature. Elimination of bacterial & algae growths. Water absorption. Injector Cleaner & Maintenance. Better fuel combustion.All reducing exhaust emission. Increasing performance. (Better fuel burning) and reduction in wear. Hence a reduction in running costs and longer service life of your engine.
Wynn’s EDT has been developed in our Research & Development section for just this purpose. As a replacement lubricant. Wynns consulted with Cummins Diesel and Peugeot, who have endorsed our product.
E.D.T. Mix is 2000 to 1. It’s very affordable and has significant savings in increased performance and reduction in repairs and lost time benefits. Particularly with the larger diesel engines.
E.D.T. Was designed to replace diesel lubricity. Maintain Fuel cleanliness. Clean Injectors and meet world standards. This has been achieved. It is in fact above world standards and comes with the recommendation of Cummins & Peugeot.
Cost is negative, given the increase in performance and maintenance reduction. It is Cost Saving with bulk purchases. Can be from 1 to 1.8 cents a liter.
As long as people know about LOW SULPHUR, they have the opportunity to save the unnecessary expense of repairs and ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of their Diesel Engines.
If your Diesel supplier states there are no issues with Low Sulphur. Ask them to put it in writing for you !!
MIX: To accurately assess amount of EDT required with each fill. Divide the Liters by 2. ie 100 ltrs of Fuel = 50ml of EDT. This gives a 2000 to 1 mix. Double dose first time.
EDT will blend with fuel, although it is better to add EDT to storage tanks just before or up to 72 hrs after delivery.

It's a well known fact that the most engine wear is at start up and warm up. When there is no oil around the working parts for that short time. It's also well known that dirty contaminated old oil increases wear dramatically. It's also well known that at each oil change you only get rid of some of the oil in the sump. The old oil that sticks to the walls and upper engine parts, which is about 20% is left behind to contaminate the new oil.
It just makes sense that if you Flush the engine at each oil change and add a quality Friction Proofing to the new oil, you Bullet Proof your engine against wear. Have less resistance on all working parts. Improve startups. Reduce repairs. Save on operating costs. All in one process when servicing. If you want your engine to last longer. On ABC TV. May 7th July. "Car of the future" Confirmed around 50% of engine power can be lost due to friction resistance. They also looked at Hybrid. Electric and Hydrogen Fuels. But in summary, we just need to operate smarter with what we have for awhile. I would recommend going to the ABC site and looking at that program for more information.
